Vision Alive

by Sindre Vaernes - June 24, 2009

A vision to include and connect, maximize time and effort, as well as being a good steward, inspired Brett Curtis and his team working with YWAM San Diego/Baja to make the most of integrating GENESIS within their YWAM network. A status some months after this all began, shows 31 videoconferencing systems deployed many places around the world. This is coupled with continued training through the GENESIS seminar in order to equip each location to fully integrate GENESIS for the highest impact. On every site the application is different, but with a common thread of building unity and maximize impact, spearheaded by Brett and his team. Weekly devotionals bring many of these locations together, strengthening their relational connection and inspiring them with the word of God. Leadership meetings take place, where prayer and strategic decisions can be made without hours of travel, yet maintaining the team. UofN courses benefit from receiving and sharing teachers that give quality input, allowing deep impact and transformation in the students’ lives.

Brett believes strongly in having easy access to equipment and facilities, so that people can truly be served by the technology. Their multiple campuses on each side of the US/Mexico border maintain a sense of togetherness, connecting staff and students  with equipment located in their community areas.

This development represents much of the spirit of GENESIS, being there to serve the real ministry of YWAM and the UofN, empowering leaders, staff and students with the opportunity to give and receive without boundaries, opening doors of multiplication for every location.

Unity and strong relationships, opportunity for global expressions, equipping in the ways of God, and much more, lead us forward in our purpose to know God and to make Him known, that the knowledge of His glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.
