Re-entry via GENESIS

by Sindre Vaernes - March 9, 2009

Peter Jordan, author of the book Re-entry and leader of YWAM Associates, the worldwide ministry to Youth With A Mission alumni, shared his wealth of wisdom to four returning outreach teams at YWAM Lausanne. Peter, while still in Kona, Hawaii, connected via GENESIS to Switzerland, where the group of about 50 students and staff listened very attentively.  Through addressing general areas and basic principles, together with specific questions from the students, Peter was able to build a bridge between their life-changing experience and an environment that suggests that they return to old habits of life. There was great hope and inspiration, testifying that this newfound change can continue growing, and that through walking in wisdom, this is not a temporary experience, but lasting change that has come to stay.

Among the topics were how to approach romantic relationships, relating to old friends, helping family understand, moving on without specific direction, how to stay connected, cultivating the change and more.  Through interacting with Peter, the students could ask questions relevant to their own journey, and be better equipped to face the transition that is coming.

It is a privilege to have access to the wisdom and experience of seasoned men and women, passing on such relevant content to young students, empowering them for a walk in victory and a life that impacts others.
