New Haiti Report

by Sindre Vaernes - January 27, 2010

It is now more than two weeks since the earthquake hit Haiti. YWAM has been mobilizing much prayer and also relief efforts in order to bring healing to this nation. Though we still hear reports about incredible stories where people have survived in seemingly miraculous ways, time is coming to start looking at the long term efforts of rebuilding.

Today, Terry Snow and his team in Haiti gave another report to the YWAM family via GENESIS. The update was also available via a web stream and close to 600 connections were made by people who watched the stream. 12 GENESIS locations joined the interactive room and could receive the latest update from Haiti.

As things are changing, YWAM Haiti is now preparing to receive teams from around the world, both from YWAM and from churches. An invitation was extended to all YWAM schools that have a relevant outreach to come and join in the rebuilding. These can contact YWAM Haiti at ywamers [at] ywamhaiti [dot] org. They will officially be preparing to receive teams from April 1.

Let us continue praying for the effort and the opportunity to reach a nation.
