2009 UofN Workshop
Like waves sweeping across the continents, the UofN Workshops provide a place to convene, connect, align and move forward with joint purpose. This biennial gathering is a sought after opportunity for thousands of YWAMers to meet others and stay current on where the University of the Nations is going. In 2007 the Celebrate Asia workshop was held in four different geographic locations, joined together via GENESIS. Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and India hosted the participants and it was all weaved together with a diversity of local content and online plenary sessions. Many were impacted and inspired in their call to bring transformation to nations and communities. GENESIS teams were serving each site, and it was very rewarding to help bring this large group together and facilitate keynote messages and corporate worship. The opportunity to work on a project like this becomes a milestone for many and offers an opportunity to grow in a variety of areas.
September 9 – 13, 2009 the wave continues from Asia to Africa and Europe, joining South Africa, North Africa, Switzerland and Ukraine together via GENESIS. Multiple teams are already working to facilitate the different areas such as overall leadership, logistics, program, GENESIS and so forth. These workshops have always provided an opportunity for the GENESIS Family to gather and now of course also to serve this event. For many young leaders this is a place to grow their faith to a new level. Working in a multicultural environment also creates a context for added learning.
GENESIS Teams will be formed around each workshop location and responsible for facilitating the GENESIS sessions, with equipment operators, communicators, liaisons, setup crew, etc. Together with intensive work, great bonding and much fun and fellowship also happens.
We look forward to this opportunity to gather and hear the Word of God in response to current issues related to reaching all nations and be bonded deeper together in unity.
